3M Championship: First-round notebook

BLAINE, Minn. — Dana Quigley’s 10-under-par 62 Friday established a new tournament record score for 18 holes at the 3M Championship. Prior to Quigley’s round, four players had shot 63 at TPC Twin Cities, including Tom Purtzer who had 63 in the opening round of the 2005 event. Don Pooley shot 63 in Round 2 of the 2003 tournament while Jay Haas and Mitch Adams posted 9-under rounds on Sunday last year.
