BETHESDA, Md. — Co-leader Tom Pernice, Jr. set the AT&T National tournament course record with a 7-under-par 63 on Friday. The low score at Congressional CC at previous PGA TOUR co-sponsored events was a 63 set by Matt Gogel (note: routing was different and par was 71 at the time) in the first round in 2005 at the Booz Allen Classic.
